“This is the debut album of the Italian singer Costanza Alegiani, who developed this project in the jazz department of the Royal Conversvatory of Brussels. Because of that she’s surrounded by Belgian and Italian talent. The recordings took place in the Igloo studio by Daniel Leon. The inspiration she got from the characters of Verdi’s Macbeth en Othello. It is a joint play of words, poetry and free improvisation. She definitely isn’t doing this for the first time, because she already was involved in many other musical theater productions as a solist. You need consider this Fair is Foul and Foul is Fair as a listener very attentively (texts are in the booklet), and process them. Then it becomes a touching musical story”.
